The Giant Yeti is a boss-level enemy found only in Area 3 during the wet fur level. It will spawn with several regular Yeti.

Strategy
The Giant Yeti is a gigantic pain to kill, for several reasons. The first is that the level he spawns on will be about 80 percent ice, making it an ordeal just to keep yourself from falling into the bottomless pit. The second is that he spawns with a bunch of Yeti, which cannot be killed without the use of a gun (such as the Shotgun or Pistol) or a bomb explosion. The third is that he can and will start making the ground shake and cause blocks of ice to fall.
The best way to kill the Giant Yeti is by catching him in a bomb explosion, which will kill him instantly. If you're lucky enough to have a Flying Saucer spawn near him, you can throw a projectile at it and use its death explosion to kill the Giant Yeti. You can also use a Shotgun, should you be lucky enough to have one and to have had the Giant Yeti spawn before the Ankh Statue if doing a City of Gold run.
Of note is that the Giant Yeti will always drop three ropes when killed.
