Aw, at least you did your best! Now we can do better!
This page needs improvement.
If you could make it better, that would be amazing.
Specifically: needs infobox
Spelunkyclassic web

Web is a non-lethal trap commonly found throughout the Mines, and rarely seen in later areas.
They may be generated randomly in narrow spaces or produced by a Giant Spider. The Spelunker can create his own temporary webs using a webcannon.

Effects

When the Spelunker touches a web, his movement speed will be reduced and he will be unable to jump properly.
Webs cannot damage you, but by constraining your movement can leave you vulnerable to enemies such as Bats and Spiders, or from hazards such as Tiki Traps.

Enemies can also be caught in webs. They will be completely unable to move unless the web is broken, allowing for an easy kill. However, Spiders, Giant Spiders, and the Ghost are not impeded by web and can move through them freely.
It is also noteworthy that Shopkeepers can still turn and shoot when caught in a web, and stunned enemies (such as Cavemen or Damsels) will never wake up.

Thrown objects will also be caught in webs, including Arrows fired from Arrow Traps and bombs, meaning that conveniently placed webs can be used to the player's advantage.

You can run out of a web if there is empty space on either side of it. Repeated jumping will cause the web to degrade and eventually fall apart, and it's a good idea remove webs pre-emptively in case they become problematic in the future.

By using the web gun to create a "bridge", webs can also be used to traverse large gaps.
Webs fired from the gun will stick to other webs, making it easy to create a long row of connected web blocks. These can be crawled across while rapidly jumping to prevent falling through.
