Waddler is an NPC in Spelunky 2.
Waddler carries items deeper into the caves for Spelunkers at no cost.

He is generally used to carry important quest items, such as Hou Yi's Bow, Eggplants, or other helpful items that would otherwise be difficult or impossible for spelunkers to carry with them, depending on the path they take.

Locations

Waddler's cave can spawn in three different locations:

In Olmec's Lair.
- His abode is always found on the very right side of the first floor, marked by a Push Block or a grass tile.
- It is easiest to enter this cave with the help of two Bombs, although Olmec's ground slams can be used to save the spelunker a single explosive.
In Ice Caves, just above the entrance to the cave containing the Yeti King and Queen.
- A Landmine can be used to enter, saving the spelunker bombs.
- The entrance to his cave can be discerned by the spelunker if they enter the Yeti cave and look above themselves, and is sometimes marked by a single push block.
In the first level of the Sunken City, 7-1.
- He spawns along the main path, and only if the spelunker still has items deposited in his cave. This is his last stop, and he stops accepting items to carry.

Notes

Waddler can carry up to 99 items that are placed on the purple tiles in front of him, effectively letting him to carry anything that spelunkers need him to.
Waddler does not transport treasure (other than Idols or Curse Pots) nor will he transport entities/corpses, such as Pets or Mounts.
Having Waddler carry an Idol or Curse Pot from Ice Caves to the Sunken City increases their value by $10,000 and $2,500 respectively, as the value of treasure is decided by the level it was collected on, and not the treasure itself.
Angering and/or killing Waddler prevents his appearance in later levels.
Bombing the tile blocking the way into Waddler's cave with a Power Bomb (typically created with a Powerpack) will anger him, as the increased explosion radius destroys a wooden tile inside his cave.
