Thin Ice is a returning hazard from Spelunky HD, and appears exclusively in the Wet Fur cave found in the Ice Caves. containing the Yeti King and Yeti Queen. It also appears frequently in portions of Ice Caves-type levels in the Cosmic Ocean.
The ice will gradually melt away after a while of standing on them, dropping the player onto whatever lies below.
Thin Ice will not break due to the player hanging on its side, nor will it crack from items or any other entity that is not a Spelunker or a Hired Hand on top of it.
