The Jungle is one of the exceptionally dangerous second areas in Spelunky 2. Like most other areas, it is four levels long, and it leads to Olmec's Lair. It is not possible to visit both the Jungle and the Volcana in a single run.

The Jungle is a claustrophobic and dangerous area filled with dense vegetation and dangerous traps that can deal lots of damage if the Spelunker is not careful. The Jungle landscape is dotted with trees that can be climbed even without the Climbing Gloves. Furthermore, there are various places that Vines can be found growing from the ceiling, which can be climbed on like ropes. One of the levels 2-2, 2-3, or 2-4 will randomly contain the secret entrance to the Black Market hidden behind some terrain which must be destroyed by a bomb or mattock. It is virtually impossible to find (except by incredible luck) without the Udjat Eye from the Dwelling. A level that doesn't have the Black Market will have the Moon challenge.
