When I got Spelunky HD for the Xbox (late enough so it was fully patched), the first thing I did when I got the pitcher's mitt was to find a rock, aim up against a wall, and throw it. The rock hit and stunned me, dealing damage. Can anyone else confirm this, on PC or Xbox 360? Perhaps they removed some benefits from the mitt, like they did with the hedjet.

: I've been playing Spelunky on my PS3 and PSVITA and when I first got a Pitcher's Mitt I went to the Wiki to see what it does and the Page said it could catch Rocks and stuff, so I did the same thing as you and picked up a Rock a through it at a wall, the Rock fell and hit me and stunned me, I thought it was because it hit my head and not my torso, but I guess not... I hope this helps! :) [[User:Gamer68|Gamer68]] ([[User talk:Gamer68|talk]]) 03:14, September 14, 2013 (UTC)

Catching items in Spelunky HD

First off, I do not remember much from the original version of Spelunky, but I am pretty sure that the pitcher's mitt did, in fact, allow you to catch a rebounding rock, preventing you from taking 2(?) damage.
