One time I managed to bring my Shotgun into the Hedjet head - I'm not sure how. I remember pause-bomb suiciding (I use a gamepad) while standing right next to or on top of it, then warping inside with the gun still in my hands. This is probably worth testing. - E-mouse 21:00, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Semi-thorough testing with savestates reveals that the ankh always lets you keep held items if you ESC+F1, and rarely (but sometimes) allows you to keep held items if you bomb yourself (when it lets you keep the item, it leaves it dropped on the ground next to the entrance, next to you). I suspect this is because bombs always knock held items out of your hand. And thus, this randomness has to do with a race condition — i.e. if the code runs in this order: 1) drop held item, 2) teleport them back to entrance, then you don't get to keep the held item. If the code runs the other order, then you get to keep the held item (as long as you pick it up again).

Just a notice, I managed to get in the Moai without the Udjat Eye. I found the Black Market entrance by pure luck after forgetting the Eye. So the article is wrong that the Eye is required. I understand though if you want to keep the Eye requirement in, since 99.9% of the time, you'll have the Eye when you get the Hedjet. Proof: http://i56.tinypic.com/6gehpi.jpg -anonymous
You know the moai page it says not to bomb yourself becase the shockwave will kill you after the reserection it did not
say that in the hejet page fixed that
