Spring Shoes are a Power-Up in Spelunky 2.

Obtaining

Spring Shoes can be obtained from the following ways:

Shops	Drops	Miscellaneous
Clothing Shops	Jiangshi (1/1000 chance)	Crates (147/1000 chance)
Hired Hand Shops		Presents (1/25 chance)
Dice Houses		A Potential Kali Altar reward at 8 favor (if not already obtained)
Tun's Curio Shops		Randomly buried in terrain
Caveman Shops (rare)

Functionality

Spring Shoes increase the user's jump height to three tiles, as opposed to the normal 2.

Jump velocity is increased as well, so that the user still reaches the apex of their jump in the same amount of time.

Like Spike Shoes, Spring Shoes prevent damage from standing on Thorny Vines or stepping on Octopy, but won't kill the latter like Spike Shoes would.

Notes

• Gives jumps a special sound and visual effect, similar to that of a Spring Trap's.
• Jump velocity with Spring Shoes is faster than both climbing speed and the Jetpack's thrust velocity, so if you're in a hurry, the fastest way to immediately ascend would be to chain jumps together instead of climbing/using the Jetpack. This can be used in tandem with Climbing Gloves to rapidly ascend anywhere.
• With Vlad's Cape, the double jump is also given enhanced height and velocity, although this is not accompanied with the audio/visual effect.
• Can be combined with a Shotgun's recoil to jump 4 tiles high.
