Spiders are an enemy in Spelunky 2.
Behavior[]
Spiders spawn clinging to the ceiling in the Dwelling, and are occasionally found hiding in pots. They can also be spawned by Sorceresses.
They drop from the ceiling when a spelunker passes underneath them and is within 6 tiles of them vertically, even if there is a block between the two. After, they intermittently hop in the direction of the spelunker.
There exist other types of spiders found in Jungle, being the Hang Spider and the Giant Spider.
