Spectacles are a power-up item in Spelunky 2.

Obtaining

Spectacles can be obtained from the following sources:

Shops	Drops	Miscellaneous
Clothing Shops, Specialty Shops, Hired Hand Shops, Dice Houses	Possible Kali Altar drop at 8 favor if the player does not have Spectacles	Crates (21/2000 chance)
Caveman Shops (rare)	Sacrificing two dice adding up to 5 at a Kali Altar	Presents (1/25 chance)
Tun's Curio Shops		Randomly buried in terrain

Functionality

Spectacles let the wearer see gems and items buried in terrain, makes it easier to see in backlayers and dark levels, and makes them immune to vision blocking effects from Octopy ink.

Notes

• Spectacles are one of the cheapest items sold at shops, with a base cost of $2700.
• In Online Multiplayer, only the players who have Spectacles can see gems and items hidden in terrain.
• The Udjat Eye can also let the wearer see hidden gems/items, and the Hedjet's ability to illuminate dark levels is more powerful than the Spectacles'.
  • The Hedjet's effect stacks with Spectacles, which illuminates the entire screen.
