Player Bags can contain a variable amount of Bombs and Ropes, and its contents are immediately added to the player's inventory when picked up.

Properties

When a Spelunker dies in multiplayer, they drop all of the bombs and rope that they were carrying into a single player bag, which is always the same color as the one of their player character.

Player Bags are also occasionally found inside of Presents sold by the Ghist Shopkeeper, where they contain 12 bombs and 12 rope. They are always yellow bags, the same color as Ana Spelunky's player bag.

Surviving the Sun Challenge spawns a Player Bag holding a significant 24 bombs and 24 ropes near the entrance, with the same color as the player that initiated the challenge.

Completing Sparrow's entire questline has her reward the player with a Player Bag holding 24 rope and 0 bombs. This bag has the same color as Dirk Yamaoka's.

Player Bags can be cloned. Copies contain the exact same amount of bombs and rope as the original. As it is possible to bring the Clone Gun to the same level as the Sun Challenge, its Player Bag reward can be cloned up to 3 times creating 4 bags adding up to a staggering 96 bombs and 96 rope.
