Anubis II is the second incarnation of Anubis.
Behavior[]
A few seconds after Osiris spawns in the Duat, Anubis II will spawn.
Anubis II points to the air, summoning coffins containing either a Sorceress, Witch Doctor, or Vampire, each with an equal chance of spawning. These coffins are spawned over the player's position where the Udjat Eye symbol flashes on the screen, but will not adjust its targeting if they move.
He drops a Jetpack on death, making him the only consistent way to obtain a Jetpack in the game.
Strategy[]
- Throwing a singular bomb at Anubis II kills him instantly, making him trivial to defeat with Paste.
- Be careful with this, as there's a non-zero chance for the Jetpack to explode if more than one bomb is thrown at Anubis II. This was alleviated in a patch when it was given a brief window of invincibility, though it is still possible.
Trivia[]
- Anubis II is missing the Ankh seen worn around Anubis I's neck, implying that the Ankh was what he used to come back from the dead.
