The Plasma Cannon is a devastating ranged weapon that shoots bright, explosive projectiles.
It is found in the Mothership, guarded by two force fields and Lahamu, who is directly under it.
It can also be found in shops owned by Tun or Cavemen, and there is also a 1 in 10,000 chance of finding one in a crate.
Functionality
The Plasma Cannon is the most powerful weapon in the game, capable of demolishing entire levels and turning most common enemies into smoldering chunks.
When fired, it will launch the player an entire four blocks back with it's recoil after shooting a massive ball of energy. This recoil is strong enough to launch the player off ropes or ladders if they are climbing any. When the energy ball hits an object, it will deal 11 splash damage and 10 contact damage, exploding with the same radius of a bomb. Afterward, the light on it will flash red and green for 2.5 seconds before being ready to fire again.
If used in conjunction with a Powerpack, it will instead be able to fire after 1 second of recharging, and launch the player back only three blocks (none if they are riding a mount), massively increasing it's effectiveness.

The easiest way to obtain the Plasma Cannon is by seizing it from the Mothership, using bombs to remove the Forcefields protecting it.
Strategy
- With both its explosive capabilities and excessive recoil, the Plasma Cannon is as much of a threat to enemies as it is to the player. An incautious player can easily get themselves blown up by the projectile or lurched back into a dangerous position with the recoil.
- Ideally, a player should be against a wall and be a safe enough distance away from the desired target before firing in order to minimize risk when using the Plasma Cannon.
- One should be extremely vigilant of forcefields, robots, and other hazards that may reflect the Cannon's projectile back at the player, which would likely kill them instantly or put them in a dangerous situation.
- The Cannon's projectile can and will hit corpses in it's line of fire, meaning a player should account for the bodies of enemies before firing.
