Man-eating Plants are an enemy found only in Area 2. They are one of the only non-boss enemies with an instant kill attack.

Special: Immune to jump damage unless stunned. Can be stunned by eating a damsel or caveman, being hit by a melee weapon such as the Whip or Machete, or having an item thrown at it.
Strategy
Man-eating Plants are an extremely annoying and somewhat glitchy enemy to deal with. They CANNOT be jumped on, even with Spike Shoes, as this will result in them eating you for an instant kill. It is advisable, but never completely safe to whip these hungry plants in attempt to stun them for long enough to run past them. They will also eat Cavemen or Damsels who run into them or fall on them, which will immediately stun them. They can also be stunned by having an item (like a pot or stone) hit them. There are only two truly safe ways to deal with Man-eating Plants. The first is to use a ranged weapon, either the Shotgun, the Pistol, or the Bow. The second is to stun them and then plant a Bomb next to them while they are stunned.
