Madame Tusk is a large walrus that can be found in Tide Pool and Neo-Babylon.

Spelunkers can gamble at her gambling house, in a similar fashion to the Shopkeeper's Wheel of Prizes game. If they win 5 times, they are given the pass to her Palace of Treasures in Neo Babylon, 6-3.

Behaviour

Tusk will start out neutral towards the player. She will always spawn in level 4-1. Her shop will always be a gambling ring, where the player can spend 5000 gold, and roll the dice for the opportunity at a prize. Anything above 7 will double the players money, anything below 7 will give the player nothing, and exactly 7 will open up the prize behind a forcefield for the player. If the player wins 5 times, they will be commended by Tusk. Her shop will also have a bodyguard in the front, and will always have a locked door above him. Opening the door will not aggro Tusk, and the room will ordinarily have a note saying "Too bad, I got here first.", unless the player has previously seen Sparrow, in which case the Tusk Idol will spawn. Madame Tusk will be angered if she sees them with the Idol.

Later on in level 6-3, the player will run into Made Tusk's Palace of Treasures, which would normally be blocked off by her bodyguards. There are four floors inside, the player entering in on the second. A four-leaf clover, an idol, two cooked turkeys, and a royal jelly are among the valuable items found there. Tusk will appear in the top floor of the area, surrounded by several bodyguards located around the palace. The two lower floors are blocked off by forcefields. The third floor down will always have Kali altar, blocked by two forcefields, with a bodyguard on either side, and the bottom floor will have several forcefields blocking the player from eight chests containing large amounts of gems. Bombing/breaking past these forcefields or anything else in the palace will anger Tusk and her bodyguards.

Tusk herself, when provoked, will rush back and forth crushing any blocks in her way. She is fairly fast, and her numerous bodyguards, all of whom are equipped with shotguns, can make her a formidable enemy.

Trivia

  • She seems to be derived from the Walrus Lady from the original game.
