Flying fish are an enemy in Spelunky 2
They are commonly found in the waters of Tide Pool and Abzu.
Behavior[]
Flying fish fly up or swim up to level themselves with spelunkers before shooting across at them similar to a Mosquito. This path resembles an "⅂" shape.
If they hit a wall, they bounce backwards. If they land back in the water, they will continue to behave normally but lie still occasionally flopping about if they are "beached" on the ground after charging.
Once beached on the ground, they occasionally flounder about, but are otherwise motionless, harmless, and able to be picked up until placed back in water. If the flying fish is underwater the spelunker is unable to jump on the flying fish while underwater, just like every other enemy.
