Cave moles are enemies in Spelunky 2 that spawn in the Dwelling area, they can go underground making it hard to damage them. While underground, Cave Moles put out a dirt trail particle effect so you can see where they are. When they come out of the ground, they have a short time of invincibility. Cave Moles have 3 HP and leave a corpse behind when killed. As you will often kill a cave mole instead of knocking it out, and their overall annoying characteristics, a player will usually not sacrifice a living cave mole.
Note: can be sacrificed at an Altar.
